| Title Geneva Jungle Assessment Presentation | |
| Description The Geneva Jungle was constructed by a Community Build Event in 1997. Leathers and Associates (L&A) oversaw the design and construction. We recently had L&A assess the facility. Executive Summary: The playground should be expected to last around 20 years with proper maintenance. The playground is currently 29 years old. The original materials used in the playground were Pressure Treated wood posts and Pressure Treated wood framing with Composite decking. The original wood was treated with CCA* which is no longer allowed on playgrounds. Most of the main support posts are in fair condition. The framing is also in reasonable condition for its age. Some of the equipment has some form of maintenance or safety non-compliance concerns. The playground has lasted 9 more years than projected. Proposed Courses of Action:
Per our Purchasing Policy, L&A will be required to compete in an invitation to bid process.

| Recommendation Council motion to proceed with a procurement process for a minor renovation of the playground.
