The City needs a specific plan for future buildings (City Hall, DMV, tax collector's office, sheriff's office, library, museum, community center, public works facilities, park buildings, etc.). Mr. Joe Wiggins discussed using some property for Fox Run.

Staff Comments:

Staff understood the council’s general direction in the July 2025 timeframe was to assess the feasibility of a governance center by developing courses of action using $5K in budgeted funds. In the September- November period, the staff submitted a legislative funding request for a $50,000 state funded feasibility study of a governance complex. This was done at the recommendation of Representative Sapp and his staff after we discussed the funding that would be needed from the state for the construction of the facility. Staff will need guidance from the council on how they would like to proceed and which Strategic Plan objectives should be delayed if investigating the governance center needs to take priority.
